A major financial institution in Toronto is seeking an Associate Director for its Enterprise Liquidity Parameters team. The role involves managing liquidity documentation, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with key stakeholders within the organization. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree and extensive experience in Treasury or Risk Management roles, along with robust analytical skills, strong communication, and project management abilities. This position offers a full-time salaried role with competitive benefits and a focus on professional growth.
Job Description
The Enterprise Liquidity Parameters (ELP) team within RBC Corporate Treasury is at the forefront of enterprise liquidity research and parameterization for a comprehensive suite of retail, wholesale banking, and trading products. This critical work enables RBC to identify liquidity and funding risks while cost-effectively positioning the balance sheet to withstand a wide range of normal and stressed market conditions. The ELP team collaborates closely with the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team, which leverages liquidity assumptions to assign funding charges and rebates to RBC’s wholesale businesses. Together, these teams provide strategic advice to front‑office business partners, helping them understand how liquidity treatments impact their cost of doing business.
As part of this dynamic team, the Associate Director will take end‑to‑end ownership of liquidity documentation, research, analytics, and implementation for a portfolio of products, including retail/commercial deposits, cash management, loans, credit commitments, liquidity facilities, securities, derivatives, commodities, and futures clearing. The successful candidate will develop expertise in internal liquidity metrics, global liquidity regulations, and act as a strategic partner to front‑office colleagues to maximize liquidity‑adjusted ROE. This role involves frequent interaction with senior leaders across Business, Finance, Treasury, and Risk functions.
