Job summary

RBC is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer to support application teams in DevOps across CICD pipelines and migrations. You will guide, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while collaborating on major migration initiatives.

You will migrate from Jenkins or manual deployments to GitHub Actions, troubleshoot CI/CD issues, and implement automation to ensure seamless integration. Strong Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines: creating and debugging stages, writing stages, working with multiple code bases.
• Strong knowledge of Maven, POM and Settings from scratch; build execution for NPM and PyPi projects.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitOps, and deployment/config tools (Terraform, Ansible, UCD).
• Understanding Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Kubectl; troubleshooting Kubernetes events and pod failures.

Responsibilities

What is the opportunity?

As a Sr. solution engineer, you will be responsible for supporting application teams in all their DevOps needs and implementation. You will be working directly with the application teams to guide, troubleshoot and resolve any issues in the CICD pipeline. You will also be involved with major migration initiative working directly with application teams.

What will you do?

• Implement any automation or configuration needed to ensure successful integration

    • Configuration of SonarQube
  • Their purpose and configuration
  • Experience on CD tools like Terraform, UCD
  • Configuration and deployment tools like Ansible

• Understanding and hands on experience on:
  • Docker and Containerization – Writing Dockerfiles, Docker commands
  • Kubernetes Clusters and their management
  • Concept of Deployment, Namespaces, PV/PVC in K8s
  • Helm charts and their purpose
  • Deployment using Kubernetes – Helm and Kubectl
  • Troubleshooting Kubernetes events, POD failures, logs, nodes

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

• Hands on Experience of CICD pipeline with a complete understanding of NPM or Nugut
• Writing Declarative pipelines using Groovy
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Agile Tools like JIRA, ServiceNow
• Scripting Experience – Groovy, Shell, Python
