AlgaeCal Inc. in Canada is seeking an Associate Data Scientist who transforms raw data into strategic insights, builds predictive models, and embeds them into real-world AI applications to drive growth.

You will leverage Python or R, SQL, and data warehouses like BigQuery to design scalable data architectures, standardize data models, and extract measurable value for the health/supplement industry.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Scientist (or similar) with a track record of delivering measurable results.
• Proficiency in Python or R for building and refining machine learning models.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Solid understanding of ML algorithms (regression, clustering, neural networks) and when to apply them.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures and transforming raw data into actionable insights.
• Ability to standardize data models and improve data schemas for reliability and usability.
• Entrepreneurial approach to data; identify opportunities to drive business value through AI.
• Industry know-how in consumer packaged goods, e-commerce, or health/supplement domains.
