Job Title: Associate Business Applications Consultant I

Overview

Our client is seeking a candidate who is early in their oil and gas production accounting career and eager to grow their expertise. You will be joining a team of five analysts who provide end-user support for a software application widely used across Western Canada.

What you will be doing

End-User Support

  • Provide step-by-step guidance for production accounting tasks related to the application.

  • Diagnose and resolve incidents using the knowledge base and predefined processes.

  • Respond promptly to user inquiries via email.

  • Share relevant contact information for clients, government ministries, and industry bodies.

  • Assist clients in navigating various government webpages.

Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Assist in testing monthly software releases.

  • Create, execute, and document test cases.

Incident Management
  • Log all client interactions in the incident management tool.

  • Assign issues to 2nd-level Subject Matter Experts when required.

  • Monitor and report on issue trends and escalate when necessary.

  • Keep clients informed about the status of their issues.

What you must have
  • Registration in or completion of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting (CAPPA) certification is required.

  • Practical experience with the Petrinex application is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
