Job summary

Spencer's is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Canada to help establish and uphold exceptional Guest Services while supporting the Store Manager in daily operations. You will contribute to maximizing sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling costs, and managing inventory and merchandising according to policy.

The role requires prior retail or management experience, the ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds, and a minimum age of 18.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement is 18.
• Prior retail and/or management experience is required.
• Physical demands: standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining Guest Services.
• Assist Store Manager in overall store operations to drive sales and profitability.
• Develop staff, control expenses and shrinkage; manage merchandising and inventory in line with company policies.

Job description

Hourly rate ranges from $19.60 - $19.85 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures. The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18. The physical demands of the job require in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. Prior retail and or management experience is required.
