Job summary

Roots in Victoria, Canada is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to create and maintain the Roots experience for customers and staff. The ASM reports to the Store Manager and supports all store operations while modeling Roots guiding principles and beliefs.

To succeed, you should have 2+ years in retail apparel management, a strong fashion sense, and a customer-service driven mindset. Flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in achieving store sales budgets through execution of company standards, policies and procedures while exceeding customers' expectations through superior service at every opportunity.
• Demonstrates the ability to lead by example in sales and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager in the execution of all recruitment activities.
• Support the Store Manager in providing product knowledge and selling skills training to new and existing staff.
• Execute opening and closing procedures according to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to motivate the team through coaching and leadership.
• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet the demands of the business.
• Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills.
