Job summary

Clarks is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Canada. You will partner with store leadership to drive a sales-focused culture, support a team selling environment, and participate in all store recruitment activities.

You will coach and train associates, set realistic but challenging goals, and ensure staffing levels meet store goals. You will also assume responsibility for employee relations in the Store Manager's absence, contribute to P&L analysis, champion company

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory role.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Ability to coach and develop store staff.

Responsibilities

• Partner with store leadership to drive a culture of sales and performance.
• Support a team selling environment.
• Participate in store recruitment.
• Teach, coach and train all store associates within an established timeframe.
• Assist in setting reachable, yet high goals for staff and ensuring adequate staffing.
• Handle employee relations in absence of the Store Manager.
• Contribute to P&L analysis.
• Lead change initiatives and promote company programs.
• Ensure proper merchandising per company directives.
• Maintain safety and security for staff and customers.
• Stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
