Job summary

Dollarama in Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations and to help deliver exceptional customer service while achieving sales goals.

You will assist with staff supervision, merchandising, training, and ensuring safety and policy compliance; you will act as Manager on Duty in the manager's absence and play a key role in team development and store performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
  • At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
  • Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
  • Training, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
  • Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
  • Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
  • Responsible for hiring and performance management.
