This is not just an Assistant Showroom Manager role. This is a founding leadership opportunity at King Living’s brand new Edmonton showroom — and the person who takes it will help build the team, set the standard, and grow into the leader this market needs.
As our opening Assistant Showroom Manager, you will lead from the floor, coach consultants in the moment, hold the customer experience to a premium standard, and take the reins whenever the Showroom Manager is away — backed by a passionate national team and a globally expanding business that is genuinely excited about this market.
If you are a strong retail performer who loves exceptional design, wants to build something from the ground up, and is ready to take a real step towards running your own showroom — Edmonton is where that opportunity lives.
Lead from the front. Deliver warm, consultative experiences that build lasting relationships and turn genuine interest into confident purchasing decisions — and set the example your team follows on every interaction.
Run the floor. Support the Showroom Manager with daily briefings, in-the-moment coaching and hands-on support that keeps consultants sharp, motivated and confident in the product.
Help prepare and launch the Edmonton showroom, then keep it running seamlessly — stock and product presentation, opening and closing, rosters, systems and the operational detail that protects a premium customer experience.
Step up with confidence. Take full accountability for the showroom whenever the Showroom Manager is away, making sound decisions and keeping standards and performance exactly where they should be.
This role is built to grow you. Structured coaching from your Showroom Manager, exposure to the commercial side of running a showroom, and a genuine pathway towards Showroom Manager as our Canadian network expands.
You will likely come from a premium retail, furniture, interiors or lifestyle brand background — perhaps as a senior sales consultant, team lead or existing Assistant Manager ready for a bigger stage. Experience opening or launching a new retail location is a genuine advantage. What matters most is your commercial instinct, the way you lift the people around you, and the standards you hold yourself to.
You are a strong performer who is ready to lead — and honest enough to know you are still learning how.
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager, senior sales consultant or team lead within a premium or luxury retail environment
- Customer-obsessed — you build trust, inspire confidence, and create experiences customers remember
- A natural coach who supports and develops the people around you rather than simply outselling them
- Commercially aware, with a track record against individual and store targets and an understanding of showroom performance
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills
- Confident taking charge of a showroom in the manager’s absence and making sound decisions on the spot
- Flexible and adaptable — available to work one weekend day as part of your regular roster
- Experience in furniture, textiles or interior design is highly regarded
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable across retail systems

This role is designed to develop you. You will work closely with the Showroom Manager, take the reins regularly, and build the experience our next generation of showroom leaders is chosen on.
Competitive remuneration at $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per annum, plus performance incentives and commission opportunities aligned to showroom success — your results are recognised and rewarded.
