Assistant Project Manager

Location: Montréal, QC

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Project Manager with a technical background in wood and metal manufacturing who’s eager to learn our processes, grow within the role, and take ownership of real projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally and directly with clients while controlling time, cost, quality, and scope
  • Lead and document key meetings: handover, kickoff, sample reviews, production reviews, and closing.
  • Translate client requirements into clear, actionable plans
  • Monitor production progress, materials, and QC checkpoints; raise red flags proactively when risks appear.
  • Oversee change management and assess cost/time impacts when needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, GCs, and designers, balancing the Voice of Customer (VOC) with the Voice of Process (VOP).
  • Support site coordination and installation follow-up when required.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in: Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or Interior Design.
  • CAPM or PMP certification (asset)
Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in project management, estimation, procurement, design, or engineering within a manufacturing or architectural environment (fixtures, millwork, metal fabrication, or similar)
  • Experience managing projects from prototype to production run (retail, hospitality, or material handling industries is a plus)
  • Experience with ERP systems (an asset).
