Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) Devised Performance and Theatre Creation

The Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance at the University of Regina invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Directing and Devising for the new BFA in Devised Performance and Theatre Creation and BA in Drama and Theatre Studies. The position requires a candidate who can design and facilitate large and small devised projects, direct departmental productions, teach acting, and potentially lead courses in other specialized areas of theatre performance and production.

  • Direct mainstage productions, intimate black‑box studio shows, site‑specific and off‑site projects
  • Teach across the curriculum in areas such as physical theatre, improvisation, musical theatre, digital‑multimedia composition, site‑specific theatre, dramaturgy, and new play creation/playwriting
  • Supervise graduate students
  • Promote collaborative, inclusive, and anti‑racist practices in the department
