Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Chemistry at McGill University. The Department seeks candidates who are committed to creating a vigorous research program in any area of inquiry related to Materials Chemistry, with a focus on Energy and/or Sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree with postdoctoral experience, proven research ability, and a strong commitment to service and teaching in Chemistry. Candidates with a wide range of interdisciplinary training experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Candidates should propose to explore applications in Energy and/or Sustainability, such as new materials for photovoltaics and energy storage, sustainable production and recycling of materials, or heterogeneous catalysts for CO2 conversion. Advanced materials characterization or combined synthesis/characterization research programs are of particular interest.

Candidates are expected to develop a research program and expertise that complements existing strengths within the Department of Chemistry and work well in a multi-disciplinary collaborative research environment.
