Qualifications

• Hold (or be near completion) a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Be a registered professional engineer in Canada, or be eligible to apply for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
• Demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching and an inclusive mentoring approach.

Responsibilities

• Be appointed to the Department of Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical and Computer Engineering; contribute to the design and delivery of course-based curricula for Biomedical Engineering students at undergraduate and graduate levels; engage with UVic scholarly community.
• Contribute to the Biomedical Engineering Program’s drive to increase diversity, and mentor and supervise diverse students in classroom and research environments.
