Salary: $75,000 -$95,000/year + Bonus & Profit Sharing
Schedule: Monday/Friday | Full-Time | Overtime as Needed

HireNow Staffing is seeking a driven Assistant Plant Manager with hands-on experience in seafood processing or food manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, knows the ins and outs of production floors, and can lead teams with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

You'll be the right hand to the Plant Manager, helping to oversee daily production operations, develop the workforce, and ensure every product leaving the facility meets rigorous quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support daily plant operations, focusing on production schedules, staff management, and quality control

  • Lead and coach production staff while building a collaborative, safety-focused workplace

  • Monitor and improve operational performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize efficiency

  • Coordinate logistics of inbound and outbound shipments

  • Maintain equipment productivity and reduce downtime by identifying and resolving issues quickly

  • Assist with implementation of processing procedures and compliance with industry safety standards

  • Pitch in where needed, including operating forklifts and handling product in cold storage areas

What You'll Need to Succeed

Experience in seafood or food processing operations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams
Excellent organization, time management, and communication abilities
Familiarity with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and quality protocols
Knowledge of food safety regulations specific to seafood is a major plus
Comfortable working hands-on in both production and cold storage environments
Valid forklift experience (or willingness to be certified)
English fluency required; multilingual ability (Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Japanese) is a plus
Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient operation
