Brickstech in Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager with 5+ years on commercial fishing vessels to lead day-to-day plant, warehouse, docks, and logistics activities.

You will coordinate fishing vessels, fleet activities, freight, and logistics, working closely with fishermen, warehouse teams, and internal operations staff. This hands-on leadership role requires strong initiative and communication.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, logistics, or similar fields.
  • Direct hands-on experience aboard commercial fishing vessels is required.
  • Background as a fisherman, deckhand, vessel crew member, or similar fishing professional.
  • Experience coordinating vessels, fleets, freight, and logistics.

Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 to start, with flexibility for the right candidate

Additional compensation and benefits include milestone pay increases, year-end bonuses, RRSP matching, a full benefits package, and seafood discounts.

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Assistant Operations Manager to join a well-established seafood processing and logistics operation in British Columbia’s wild seafood industry.

This opportunity is particularly suited to an experienced fishing professional, fisherman, deckhand, or commercial vessel crew member who is ready to transition from working on the water into an operations leadership role.

This is not a desk-only position. The successful candidate will work across the warehouse, docks, logistics, fleet coordination, and plant operations while supporting senior operations leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to work hands-on
  • Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
