Hinnawi Bros Bagel & Cafe – Montréal, QC

Job Type: Part-time | Pay: $16.10–$20.00 per hour | Starts: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the café.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise café staff.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules and find suitable replacements for absences.
  • Ensure proper employee clock‑in/out procedures.
  • Train staff on drink preparation and use of coffee equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies (e.g., takeaway cups, coffee, milk).
  • Receive and verify delivered café supplies.
  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses.
  • Keep café expenses within budget and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Add new menu items based on seasonal trends and customer preferences (e.g., vegan coffee).
  • Advise staff on resolving client issues and delivering excellent service.
  • Ensure all café areas remain clean and tidy.
  • Build friendly customer relationships to increase loyalty and reputation.
  • Handle complaints about food quality and service.
  • Suggest menu improvements based on customer feedback.
  • Develop strategies to retain and attract customers.
