The successful candidate will be able to meet the needs of each individual as well as the needs of the group in their daily practice. It is essential for the individual to have excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively within a dynamic, innovative team environment. Experience and/or training working with children with diverse needs is an asset. In addition, this individual will spend a lot of time outside and fulfill some light housekeeping duties. APPLICANT MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE AT LEAST IN ORDER TO SUPERVISE CHILDREN BY THEMSELVES AS PER PROVINICAL LICENSING RULESThe Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementing, and supervising of Out of School Care activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children in the program in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. The Assistant Manager will support early childhood educators in their daily activities, assist with developing programs and activities for children, and promote a welcoming and positive environment. They will also assist the Childcare Services Manager with the hiring and orientation process, employee performance reviews, and with the day-to-day operations of the programs.
