Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager contributes to the success of the Middle Office by executing business strategies and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. This role involves managing the trade life cycle, trade control, and client service activities. The incumbent will deliver high-quality output, support the Manager on daily tasks and projects, and may guide junior team members.

  • Operate independently to identify and resolve issues under tight deadlines.
  • Champion a customer‑focused culture, ensuring clear and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous operational improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for efficiency and risk control.
    • Prepare proposals, define requirements, and support implementation of process and technology enhancements.
  • Perform daily operational activities:
    • Manage full trade life cycle from inception to termination, including settlements.
    • Support functions such as confirmations, compression, novation, corrections, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to operational risk, regulatory compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risk frameworks.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • Prior experience in capital markets, finance, banking, or process improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets operations, especially fixed income derivatives, ISDA interpretations, and complex derivative calculations.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including escalation management and dispute resolution.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Duco, VBA, and related tools.
