Job summary

Coast Capital Savings in Nanaimo is seeking an Assistant Manager, Member Services at the Aulds Rd Branch. You will lead a team of Member Service Representatives to deliver Coast Capital’s simple financial help and exceptional service.

The role requires at least four years in a frontline banking leadership position, a Business Administration related degree, and relevant certifications. You will coach staff, drive sales targets, and ensure secure cash handling and excellent member experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of leadership experience in a bank or credit union.
• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Investment Funds in Canada certificate required/advantageous.
• Strong ability to resolve member complaints with a smile.
• Proven track record coaching employees to success and growth.
• Solid knowledge of technology banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Member Service Representatives to meet branch goals.
• Coordinate with the Manager, Member Services to align branch needs.
• Exceed customer banking expectations and foster relationships.
• Coach and develop staff, recognizing performance and growth.

• Work with theManager, Member Services, to seamlessly coordinate the needs of the branch and achieve the team’s goals.
• Exceeding your customer’s expectations with their banking needs.
• Coach your team of Member Service Representativesin developing their sales skills, building effective relationships and embracing our purpose, mission, values, brand and business practices.
• Celebrate your team’s successes; whether it be achieving a sales target or helping a team member grow their career within Coast Capital.
• Exemplify our “How can we help you?” brand while achieving sales, growth and profitability across each area of our business.
• Using your bean-counting skills to ensure efficient cash management and to oversee all security related matters in keeping with Coast Capital’s standards.
• Create a high-performing team by selecting, engaging, developing and retaining star performers.

Who are we looking for?

• We are looking for leaders who understand the importance of “leading from the front” where you bring business strategy to life, shifting the words on a page to an engaging call to action.
• You’ve proven your success in a similar position leading front-line employees for a minimum of four years in a bank or credit union.
• You take pride that you survived and thrived in completing your diploma or degree in Business Administration, Economics or in a related area
• You proudly hang your Investment Funds in Canada certificate in your office.
• Strong ability in resolving member complaints with a smile.
• You are passionate about coaching employees to success, growing and training individuals and rewarding and recognizing employees.
• You have strong knowledge in all relevant technology banking systems.
