Responsibilities
  • Assist the manager in planning and coordinating department activities to meet sales and profitability targets while respecting the collective agreement.
  • Assist the manager in employee management.
  • Act as manager when absent.
  • Place and purchase departmental orders; verify invoices against delivery documents and ensure proper receipt of goods.
  • Ensure the store is ready to receive customers in terms of quantity, product presentation, and stock rotation.
  • Maintain the department’s shelf‑life.
  • Ensure product labels meet store standards, price lists, and scanner price data; maintain price card compliance.
  • Ensure product freshness at all times.
  • Maintain planogram compliance.
  • Create employee schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies (receiving, security, etc.) and health‑and‑safety standards.
