Gas N’ Go General Stores & Markets is a fast growing company with a great team! This Island owned and operated franchise is dedicated to promoting values such as communication, teamwork, responsibility, and taking a hands-on approach. Each new hire will receive several months of training to ensure that they know how to give quality work and feel comfortable in their position. Gas N’ Go strives to promote from within, to ensure upward mobility for its employees.

We are looking for a responsible and self-motivated individual to work as the Assistant Store Manager. This new employee will be working alone as well as in a team setting, and so they must be able to work well with others and be self-motivated to do what the store needs. The Assistant Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all staff are following Company Policies & Procedures
  • Delegate tasks to team members
  • Follow-up to ensure team has completed the required tasks for their shift
  • Daily paperwork
  • Execution and team follow-up of promotions
  • Ordering
  • Inventory Control
  • Finding other staff members to over shifts in the event of sickness or other absence
  • Assist Store Manager in growing sales
  • Maintenance calls as approved by Store Manager
  • Listen and respond to customer complaints (escalating complaint to Store Manager if necessary)
  • Training new & existing employees
  • Other duties are directed

  • Reports to Store Manager

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and exercise initiative
  • Ability to follow direction and complete assigned tasks in atimely manner

  • Demonstrate ability to complete daily and till paperwork
