Overview
Assist in managing the kitchen operations of a busy Tim Hortons location. Supervise food preparation staff, maintain quality control, and ensure a safe, efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
- Hire food service staff
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports
- Supervise and check assembly of trays
- Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
- Establish work schedules
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a kitchen or food service environment
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑temperature environment
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with initiative and dependability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
