Job summary

Giorgio Armani Canada Corporation seeks an Assistant General Manager for Oakridge Park, Vancouver, opening November 2026. You will partner with the GM to drive sales, ensure an exceptional client experience, and lead a diverse team in a luxury retail environment.

You will shape store strategy, execute on merchandising and client relationship initiatives, and manage labor and budget considerations with integrity and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in retail management.
• College or post-secondary degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience delivering sales trainings and presentations.
• Proficiency with retail systems and MS Office.
• Open availability including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Language skills in Italian, Spanish, French, Mandarin are a plus.

Assistant General Manager

Full-Time | Oakridge Park, Vancouver

Opening November 2026

Overview

As a leader within Giorgio Armani Canada Corporation, you will be part of a diverse leadership and sales team, inspiring and motivating each day. You will work with the General Manager to align the team on driving sales, providing an excellent client experience, building strong talent, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and effectively. Your ability to combine entrepreneurial spirit, passion for the brand, and knowledge of the luxury/retail business with organizational skills to manage the store will profoundly influence the client and associate experience.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant General Manager, you will also provide input on merchandising, marketing, and client relationship strategies. Your daily presence on the sales floor will allow you to understand the business on the front line and use insights to improve the store’s performance. You will help shape and execute store strategies to build trusting relationships with clients and associates to drive revenue. Additionally, you will be accountable for ensuring appropriate communications are cascaded throughout the team.

To succeed in this role you are willing to lead by example with integrity, collaborate, be intellectually curious, strategic, lead through ambiguity and change, and remain results oriented. As a key support for the General Manager, you will also be responsible for end‑to‑end management of the store and its team, including labor and supply budget.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in similar retail management field
• College/Post‑Secondary degree preferred
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to influence partners and motivate direct reports
• Demonstrated experience in executing Sales Management Trainings and Presentations
• Proficiency with Retail Systems and Office programs, i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Open availability and able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
• While not required, Italian, Spanish, French, Mandarin or other language skills are considered a strong asset
