Job summary

The Canadian Brewhouse in Ontario is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations, mentor managers, and drive guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. You will run weekly meetings, oversee payroll, scheduling, safety, and events, while upholding our core values and ensuring top-tier service.

A background in restaurant management and strong financial acumen are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of business management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Hospitality or Food and Beverage industry experience is an asset
• Proven strategic problem-solving skills
• In-depth knowledge of financial tools – ie. P&L, COGs, Inventory, etc.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively
• Personal organization and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee all departmental managers and hourly employees – mentor, coach, and lead
• Run weekly manager meetings and ensure cross-level communication
• Provide feedback and recognition to team members
• Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and training for new employees and managers
• Uphold The Canadian Brewhouse values and culture
• Ensure the interior and exterior meet high standards
• Complete payroll, place orders, create schedules, track fundraising and other weekly office duties
• Review and maintain safety, sanitation and food-safe practices
• Plan and manage in-house and outside events (e.g., Crib night, steak night, fundraisers)
• Predict and analyze industry trends, budgets, purchasing, and labour
• Expand knowledge of Brewhouse procedures, policies, and training

• Ensure the interior and exterior of the building is kept to the highest standard – our house is your house!
• Complete payroll, place orders, create schedules, track fundraisers, and other weekly office duties
• Review and maintain safety, sanitation and food-safe practices
• Plan, organize and facilitate in-house and outside events – ie. Crib night, 40oz steak night, fundraisers, etc.
• Predict and analyze industry trends, budgets, purchasing, and labour
• Expand your knowledge by learning Brewhouse procedures - including food, drinks, policies, training programs, values, processes, the list goes on!

Salary: Ranges from $50,000 - $56,000 annually
