A national insurance carrier in Canada is seeking an Assistant/Associate General Counsel to provide legal advice, manage compliance, and review contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive legal experience, particularly in insurance regulations. The Assistant/Associate General Counsel provides the Company’s employees with legal advice to help protect the Company’s legal interests and to ensure that the Company complies with relevant laws, rules, and regulations on a state and federal level. Salary range for Assistant GC: $145,000 - $180,000
Salary range for Associate GC: $167,000 - $225,000
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
