Overview

The Assistant Financial Controller will be a key driver of financial excellence at Artex Capital Solutions, spearheading accurate reporting, ensuring compliance, and optimizing efficiency in financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making.

How you’ll make an impact
  • Keep the Numbers Spotless: Maintain and update financial records with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Financial Reporting Excellence: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports that drive strategic decision‑making.
  • Own the Close Process: Lead month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • AP/AR Mastery: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in crafting and monitoring budgets and forecasts, keeping the company on track to meet its financial goals.
  • Analyze & Advise: Conduct variance analysis and deliver actionable insights into financial performance.
  • Collaborative Problem‑Solving: Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Audit Leadership: Take charge of audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, and prepare responses for internal audits.
  • Subsidiary Oversight: Manage the audit process for subsidiary companies, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.
  • Client Billing Expertise: Oversee the billing process for existing and new clients within assigned business units.
  • Process Improvement: Support the documentation, updates, and implementation of detailed procedures to enhance financial control operations and processes.
  • Payroll Support: Assist with internal and client payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Special Projects: Contribute to high‑impact projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO or Financial Controller.
  • Efficiency Champion: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and boost operational efficiency.
  • Client Service Excellence: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to deliver exceptional service to clients.
About you

Required: Bachelors degree (Accounting or Finance) and 5 years related experience required.

Preferred: Degree major in accounting, business, finance or related discipline. CPA preferred.

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of financial reporting and budgeting is a requirement.
  • Strong understanding of financial account and GAAP requirements.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with various accounting and ERP platforms will be advantageous (QuickBooks, SUN Systems, JD Edwards, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Enthusiastic and strongly motivated self‑starter.
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues within and across departments and time zones.
