WildBrain Studios in Vancouver, BC is hiring an Assistant Editor (CG) to assemble the episode’s first pass using storyboard panels, audio takes, and the script as a reference. You will support the Animatic editors and keep files organized while thriving under deadline pressure.

The role requires 1–3 years of editorial experience, strong proficiency with Avid Media Composer, and a collaborative, proactive approach to solving problems within a dynamic animation team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years minimum professional experience in an editorial role.
• Strong understanding of Avid Media Composer editing software is a must.
• Ability to take direction, collaborate, and be a team player.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure.
• Ability to adapt to multiple show styles.
• Openness to direction and ability to embrace change.
• Degree or Diploma from a recognized film production school.
• Creative and proactive problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

Overview

WildBrain Studiosis looking for an Assistant Editorto join our team!

Reporting to the Producer, in this position you will have the opportunity to assemble storyboard panels and audio elements needed to tell the story of the show, all the while keeping things organized and tidy. We are looking for someone with a good sense of humor / timing who can support our Animatic editor(s) in their daily workloads.

This is a Union position and the terms and conditions of employment are covered by a collective agreement.

Pay Range

$985 – $1350 CAD per week based on a 40-hour work week.

Candidates are paid within the range posted, but their exact pay will vary based on the level, responsibilities and expectations of the role. We also take into consideration the experience and skills that individual brings, with consideration of our internal equity.
