Infrastructure: Responsible for planning, building and managing government-owned infrastructure.
Hospitals and Surgical Health Services: Responsible for delivering safe, person-centered, quality emergency and medical health services; procurement and contract management; supporting innovative information management and technologies; and regulating hospital and emergency health care.
Transportation and Economic Corridors: Provides a safe and efficient transportation system to support Albertas economic, social and environmental vitality.

The Assistant Deputy Minister Financial Services and Senior Financial Officer (ADM SFO) plays a critical leadership role in ensuring financial accountability across the Department. This position is responsible for overseeing the department's financial governance framework and coordinating the delivery of financial services to both the department and its associated public sector agencies.
As the department's senior financial advisor you will provide strategic guidance to the Minister, Deputy Minister, executive leadership and program areas on financial planning, strategy and execution across a range of complex business environments. You will lead all fiscal management activities including budgeting, financial planning and reporting, ensuring alignment with departmental priorities and government-wide objectives.
This role requires a visionary leader who can foster a culture of financial stewardship and collaboration. You will champion a shared vision of financial governance and strategy while delivering high-quality financial advice and information to support key government decision-making bodies, particularly Treasury Board and Finance.
Your background includes significant related executive leadership experience with strengths in financial management and fiscal activities within a large public-sector organization. You have strong political, business and financial acumen supported by strategic analyses, the ability to make sound recommendations as well as effective decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential to navigate diverse perspectives in a dynamic and complex environment. Your demonstrated ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams will be key to driving organizational success. Related post-secondary education is required and a recognized accounting designation is strongly preferred.
$6,403.39 to $8,403.71 bi-weekly. ($167,128 - $219,336 / annum)
