Job summary

Save-On-Foods, a division of Pattison Food Group Ltd., invites you to join as Assistant Department Manager at the Willingdon Save-On-Foods location in Burnaby, BC. You will lead and coach a team, focus on Always Customer First service, and help grow the business while maintaining stock and ensuring customer trust.

The role requires open availability for 40 hours per week, Food Safe Certification, and a passion for great food.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification is required.
• A passion for great food and outstanding customer service.
• Strong work ethic and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Integrity and enthusiasm; willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with leading a team, coaching, mentoring and acting as a resource.
• Fostering a customer-first environment with exceptional service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training, performance management and recognition.
• Communicating important messages with the team and driving store initiatives.
• Using knowledge of the community to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.
