Farm Boy in Ontario is seeking an experienced department supervisor to deliver standout service and operational excellence. You will lead daily operations, coach a high-performing team, manage inventory, scheduling, and payroll functions to ensure a welcoming shopping experience.

You will collaborate with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies, maintain safety and compliance, and support community programs while offering growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Post-secondary program with emphasis in business; minimum 1 year of supervisory/management experience or equivalent.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with clear communication.
• Comfort with manual and automated systems; experience with computer software programs.
• Able to work standing for long periods, in cooler/freezer/outdoor conditions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are an asset.

• Work closely with the Department Manager to execute departmental strategies and achieve stated goals and performance objectives.


• Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.


• Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.


• Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.


• Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.


• Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high-quality shopping environment.


• Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment by effectively managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of performance.


• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style.


• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.


• Thrive in a hands-on setting that involves extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.


• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
