Servus Credit Union in Fairview, Alberta, is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager for the Fairview branch. You will lead a team of Financial Advisors, drive lending and investment services, and empower staff to meet member needs.

The role requires solid retail banking experience and a track record in advisory services, with focus on team development and risk-aware growth. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting our community and members.

Qualifications

• 5 years of retail banking experience.
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Financial Advisor.
• A comprehensive understanding of lending and credit.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and coaching employees to shape members' financial fitness.
• Pursuing new business opportunities proactively.
• Monitoring and ensuring branch financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Promoting referrals to Wealth Management, Business Banking and third-party providers.
• Adhering to policies, procedures, and loss prevention guidelines to mitigate risk.
• Providing support, guidance, and training to employees for performance improvement.
• Preparing accurate documentation and processing account changes; handling inquiries promptly.

As an Assistant Branch Manager, reporting to the Market Director, your primary goal is to empower, support and develop your team of Financial Advisors. As an Assistant Branch Manager, you have a passion for leading people and can help your Financial Advisors understand our member's needs, therefore driving performance and success for the branch. You are an expert in the sales process and delivering progressive lending and investment services to our members.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You Bring

• 5 years of retail banking experience
• A minimum of 3 years experience as a Financial Advisor
• A comprehensive understanding of lending and credit

Although Not Required, The Following Education/certificates Are Valuable Assets

• Post‑secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
• Investment Funds in Canada Course & License (IFIC)
• Personal Financial Service Advice (PFSA)
• Financial Planning I (FP1)
