About the Role

We are an established and growing construction company seeking a proactive and motivated Assistant Accounts Manager to support the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions within our Finance Department. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, grow, and take ownership. This role reports directly to the Finance / HR Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing full sets of accounts and daily accounting operations.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including reconciliations and follow-ups.
  • Issue invoices and Statements of Accounts (SOA) to clients, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Assist in cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and basic financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, project summaries, and ad-hoc financial reports.
  • Prepare quarterly GST submissions and support audits and tax queries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers on financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and audit requirements.
  • Perform ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and Singapore Accounting Standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); accounting software experience is an advantage.
  • Analytical, meticulous, accurate, and highly reliable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
