Job summary

Walmart Canada in Huntsville, ON is seeking an Asset Protection Operations Team Associate to maintain store financial integrity, pricing accuracy, and inventory control. You will coordinate merchandise processing to the sales floor to support a positive shopping experience.

You will handle high-ticket security, direct/local shipments including OMNI items and alcohol, ensure clean work areas, document cold chain data, and help prevent shrink while keeping up with company policies and invoicing

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.
• Familiarity with Walmart Canada policies and processes preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Secure high-ticket merchandise in designated locations.
• Process direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise and alcohol.
• Keep receiving, claims, and offices neat and organized.
• Document cold chain compliance via Receiving Temperature Log / Spark App.
• Assist shrink prevention by scanning damaged and stolen merchandise.
• Maintain up-to-date returns, vendor returns (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing, and shipping per company guidelines; handle SORT and Global Donation Merchandise.
• Monitor merchandise returns and shrink to minimize chargebacks; record shrink wins.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies on damaged and recalled merchandise and ensure new store programs are implemented.
• Ensure invoicing key controls are followed and payments are timely.
• Work exception reports MU/MD, scanning exceptions, price overrides, and 2 cent report.

Position Summary

An Asset Protection Operations Team Associate maintains store financial integrity and accuracy, pricing integrity, inventory control and profitability. This associate coordinates and efficiently processes direct and local merchandise for delivery to the sales floor to ensure a positive shopping experience.

What You'll Do

• Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.
• Processes direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise, and alcohol and receiving of warehouse trailers.
• Ensures a neat, clean and organized work area in receiving, claims, and offices.
• Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance including documenting all necessary information on the Receiving Temperature Log / Spark App.
• Assists in Shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
• Maintains all up-to-date returns, vendor return requests (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing and shipping and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within any deadlines as per Company guidelines. Handle all SORT, and Global Donation Merchandise
• Monitors merchandise being returned through claims and protect assets by ascertaining proper process and handling in regard to shrink, in order to keep charge backs to a minimum. Recording and monitoring returns and shrink wins within the store.
• Maintains up to date knowledge about Company policies, guidelines and processes regarding the handling of damaged and recalled merchandises and ensures all New Store Programs and systems are implemented and followed on a continuous basis.
• Ensures that the Invoicing key controls checklist is being followed by ensuring timely payments are made for merchandise and services.
• Work exception reports MU/MD review, scanning exceptions, price override, and 2 cent report.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $18.90.
