Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking an Asset Protection Operations Team Associate in Brampton, ON to help maintain store financial integrity, pricing accuracy and profitability. The role handles direct/local shipments, alcohol, cold chain compliance, and shrink mitigation daily.

You will ensure proper processing of returns, recalls, and vendor paperwork, while maintaining a clean receiving area and adherence to company policies. Excellent attention to detail is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.
• Processes direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise, and alcohol and receiving of warehouse trailers.
• Keeps a neat, clean and organized work area in receiving, claims, and offices.
• Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance including documenting all necessary information on the Receiving Temperature Log / Spark App.
• Assists in shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.
• Maintains up-to-date returns, vendor return requests (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing and shipping and ensuring they are completed timely as per Company guidelines.
• Monitors merchandise being returned through claims and protects assets by ensuring proper process and handling in regard to shrink, recording and monitoring returns and shrink wins within the store.
• Maintains knowledge about Company policies regarding damaged and recalled merchandises and ensures all New Store Programs and systems are implemented and followed.
• Ensures that the Invoicing key controls checklist is followed by ensuring timely payments are made for merchandise and services.
• Works on exception reports MU/MD review, scanning exceptions, price overrides, and 2 cent report.

This associate coordinates and efficiently processes direct and local merchandise for delivery to the sales floor to ensure a positive shopping experience.What you'll do...1.Ensures high-ticket merchandise is properly secured in a designated location.2.Processes direct and local shipments promptly, including OMNI merchandise, and alcohol and receiving of warehouse trailers.3.Ensures a neat, clean and organized work area in receiving, claims, and offices.4.Follows guidelines for cold chain compliance to ensure quality assurance including documenting all necessary information on the Receiving Temperature Log / Spark App.5.Assists in Shrink prevention by scanning all damaged and stolen merchandise in a timely manner.6.Maintains all up-to-date returns, vendor return requests (RA), recalls, paperwork, packing and shipping and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and within any deadlines as per Company guidelines. Handle all SORT, and Global Donation Merchandise7.Monitors merchandise being returned through claims and protect assets by ascertaining proper process and handling in regard to shrink, in order to keep charge backs to a minimum.
