A federal parliamentary institution in Canada is seeking an Asset Management Officer to provide material management services and advice to Senators and their staff. The incumbent will manage asset inventories, ensure compliance with Senate policies, and contribute to planning projects involving retrofits and moves. A secondary education completion or related experience is required, along with previous asset management experience. Knowledge of the Canadian Parliament is an asset.

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Materiel Management and Logistics, the incumbent is accountable for providing material management services, advice and consultative guidance to a client portfolio comprised of Senators, Senators’ staff and/or Senate Administration personnel, for ensuring compliance with Senate policies, directives and entitlements regarding material assets.
They are also a key contributor in planning and coordinating projects that involve client office retrofits, moves and closures, as well as other projects or sub-projects for the identification and tracking of assets in Senate-occupied buildings.
The incumbent is also responsible for conducting asset inventory verifications and audits.
Open to the general public to staff one (1) determinate position of twelve (12) months within the Property and Services Directorate.
This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.
