REPORTS TO: Director of Infrastructure and Asset Management

LOCATION: Initial Placement – Burford Administration Office

Minimum Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Asset Management or equivalent.
  • 3 years of related experience in GIS and asset management, preferably in a government setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry best practices for infrastructure asset management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GIS tools and methodologies for the administration of corporate GIS databases.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with ESRI’s ArcGIS Suite of products including ArcGIS Pro and Field Maps.
  • Possess effective organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities; including experience creating analytical-based reports.
  • Must possess a valid class G driver’s licence with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
Assets
  • Experience working with PSD Citywide software or other asset management software for maintenance and reporting on all assets.
  • Specialized certification or training in relation to asset management.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, maintain, update, manipulate, and analyze the digital mapping and associated databases related to the County’s Asset Management and Geographic Information Systems.
  • Assist with the development and ongoing maintenance of the corporate asset management program.
  • Utilize PSD Citywide asset management software to ensure data integrity, reporting, and long‑term maintenance of infrastructure data.
  • Frequently assess GIS records to ensure they are accurate and current for infrastructure assets overseen by the Operations Department.
  • Collaborate with internal divisions to produce maps, applications, data, acquisitions, and disposals that support office and field staff.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits to maintain the accuracy and integrity of asset management and GIS data.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of municipal infrastructure assets, as required, including physical verification, assessing condition, and record‑keeping for the Asset Management Information System.
  • Work with County staff and consultants to perform asset evaluations and to develop and update the County’s Asset Management Plan.
  • Analyze current processes to design and improve work order automations in Citywide.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario Regulation 588/17, other provincial regulations, and internal policies pertaining to asset management.
  • Identify existing and future infrastructure rehabilitation and replacement needs through various methodologies, calculations and formulas, priority rankings, condition ratings, level of risk, levels of service, key performance indicators, maintenance records, decision models, and life cycle evaluations.
  • Other duties as required.

Salary Range: $77,860 - $91,073 (Job Grade 6 – Under Review) 35 hours per week
