As an External Client Advisor, you will provide outside sales coverage in Atlantic Canada, coordinating business development efforts, establishing key client relationships, and managing campaigns and marketing activities. You will have the opportunity to be part of a leading asset manager and contribute to the expansion of investment capabilities in the Canadian retail market.

Job Responsibilities
  • Proactively contact firms in Atlantic Canada to identify avenues for increased penetration, including but not limited, to new advisor referrals, conference/meeting opportunities, and website presence.
  • Perform a variety of sales functions including client meetings, client follow-up, proposal generation, presentations, public speaking, and attending seminar and industry events.
  • Be the primary point of contact for advisors with regards to JP Morgan products
  • Leverage a consultative approach to gain a thorough understanding of the client’s needs.
  • Be a subject matter expert on the implementation on all JPMorgan products.
  • Work closely with internal sales associate, marketing, legal and compliance.
  • Partner with senior leadership team, product teams and marketing to develop five year road map for the territory
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 10+ years’ experience with financial services company in sales/specialist role
  • Extensive experience in the mutual funds, ETF’s, private alternative space, including experience in various structures of private alternatives.
  • Existing relationships with key decision makers and centers of influence
  • Experience in working and supporting financial advisors in the Atlantic Canada
  • Ability to communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Client focused – possessing the ability to align processes, procedures, systems, and personnel to meet the needs of firms.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging and collaborative sales environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Frequent travel is required.
  • Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, and co-workers.
  • 4 year degree.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • MBA, CFA, CIM, CAIA preferred.
