The City of Medicine Hat is seeking an Assessor I to join our Property Assessment team. This permanent, full‑time, on‑site role involves performing fair and consistent property assessments, communicating with property owners, and contributing to municipal taxation processes.

You'll work with mass appraisal methods, learn valuation models, and gain professional accreditation through Alberta Assessors' Association.

Competenze

• A two‑year diploma in property assessment or a related field from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
• Eligibility for membership with the Alberta Assessors' Association, with a commitment to pursue professional accreditation through the Alberta Assessors' Association or the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, provincial assessment legislation and valuation practices.
• A valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
