You will assemble wooden trusses and wall panels using automated equipment and hand tools, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and quality standards. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role offers steady year-round work with opportunities to grow, safety training, benefits, and a collaborative team environment committed to continuous improvement and on-time

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or related field is an asset (truss plant preferred).
• Experience using production tools such as component saws is an asset.

Mansioni

• Assemble wooden trusses and wall panels according to specifications, ensuring quality workmanship.
• Operate and maintain automated assembly tables and other production tools and equipment.
• Inspect materials and completed products to meet quality standards.
• Load, unload, and move materials within the facility as needed.
• Support other production activities such as cutting materials and preparing orders for shipping.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency.

PBS Truss Manufacturing Ltd. is a 24,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Coldstream, BC. The production facility was completed in December 2024, and production is well underway! Our new facility offers a clean, modern working environment where you can thrive as part of a collaborative, skilled team.

About the Role

We're looking for reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Assembler on our production line. In this role, you'll be responsible for assembling wooden trusses and wall panels using automated equipment and hand tools, ensuring each product meets exact specifications and quality standards.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, with the added benefit of steady, year-round indoor work - say goodbye to weather delays and seasonal slowdowns.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble wooden trusses and wall panels according to specifications, ensuring high-quality and accurate workmanship.
• Operate and maintain automated assembly tables and other production tools and equipment.
• Inspect materials and completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the facility as needed.
• Support other production activities such as cutting materials, stacking products, or preparing orders for shipping.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and processes.

What We're Looking for in You

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related field is an asset (truss plant experience preferred).
• Experience using production tools such as component saws (multi-blade or single blade machinery) is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying noise levels.
