Job summary

Optimum Custom Millwork seeks an assembler for millwork and wood products manufacturing. On-site position handling assembly of wood components like window sashes, doors, pallets, and modular parts, reading blueprints and production drawings.

Strong attention to detail is essential for quality control and precise finishing. Typical duties include assembling components, applying hardware, inspecting finished pieces, and packing for shipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and production drawings.
  • Experience with wood products assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels.
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products.
  • Record information on products inspected.
  • Assemble door panels, trusses or modular components to make prefabricated housing.
  • Read blueprints, written specifications and production drawings.
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution.
  • Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports.
  • Install hardware such as knobs and hinges.
  • Inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards.
  • Mark defective parts or products for repair.
  • Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces.

Job details:

Salary: 23.00 to 25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 35 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time – Starts as soon as possible

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
or equivalent experience
Experience
1 year to less than 2 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Confined spaces, Dusty.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders and barrels
