Position summary:

Under the supervision of the REAP, the assembler is responsible for carrying out assembly operations: building, adjusting and installing prefabricated modules and subassemblies to construct aircraft. The assembler works independently or as part of a team from technical documentation and must ensure the quality and conformity of work according to Airbus Atlantic Canada standards.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out all operations in compliance with current health and safety rules.
  • Assemble subassemblies and structural assemblies of aircraft airframe and systems from manufacturing documentation.
  • Adapt work to various types of assemblies: large fuselage elements and diverse mechanical components such as hydraulic components, fuel and oxygen supply, control systems, cabin insulation, etc.
  • Interpret and read manufacturing and installation drawings.
  • Set up and use manual or automated machines and tools according to the work to be performed.
  • Ensure, through various control methods, that assemblies conform to the manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements / Profile
  • Vocational training diploma (DEP) in Structural Assembly or Systems Installation.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a fitter-assembler in the aerospace field or a related area, and successful completion of an assessment demonstrating basic technical skills.
  • Fluency in technical aerospace terminology and drawing reading. Good knowledge of structural assembly and systems, as well as FOD management.
  • Good manual skills, high dexterity, thoroughness and precision.
  • Ability to quickly analyze and identify defects.
  • Sense of responsibility (parts conformity), ease working in a team and adaptability. Experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Hours: Monday to Thursday (06:00 to 14:30). You may be assigned to the evening shift (14:00 to 00:30). In that case, you will be eligible for an evening premium of $1.75 while assigned to the evening shift.
