Job summary

PrimeFab in Midland, Ontario is seeking a Junior Design Modeler to build 3D Revit models for PrimePanel and PrimeWall, turning drawings into shop drawings for production. You will train in SEMA and collaborate with the Pre-Construction Manager to catch issues early on the design stage.

Ideal candidates bring Revit proficiency, blueprints reading skills, and a willingness to learn SEMA. This is a full-time, on-site role with mentorship and real project work from day one.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading architectural/structural drawings and blueprints.
• Willingness to learn SEMA and apply it to shop drawings.
• Diploma or certificate in architectural tech or BIM required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build 3D Revit models for PrimeFab's Prime Panel and Prime Wall lines.
• Flag design issues before they reach production.
• Convert Revit models into shop drawings for the production floor.
• Learn and apply SEMA for cutting machine preparation.
• Coordinate with project leads to confirm dimensions and requirements.
• Track time spent on modeling and RFIs related work.
