Job summary

CGIC is expanding its Field Talent Development team and seeks an entrepreneurial Financial Advisor who can manage an insurance agency with strong corporate support. You will build client relationships, recruit and mentor a team, and align plans with sustainability goals while maintaining licensing and compliance.

You will work within an established company, leverage exclusive tools, and help Canadians meet financial security needs through advisory services and community engagement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience in the insurance industry or related business experience.
• Post-secondary education in a related field.
• Life licence and a General Insurance licence, with a Mutual Funds licence as an asset.
• ON Only - completed CFP, CLU, CHFC or accredited Financial Planning Designation.
• All other provinces - completed or working toward CFP, CLU, CHFC or accredited Financial Planning Designation.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting new clients to discuss risk management and financial goals and conducting reviews to empower informed decisions.
• Cultivating strong community relationships to enhance agency visibility and drive new business.
• Developing and executing business, operational and marketing plans to support sustainability and growth.
• Recruiting and mentoring staff and managing team performance to achieve agency goals.
• Ensuring licences, compliance with ethical standards, and regulatory policies.
