Job summary

Schlumberger Canada Limited is seeking a motivated Field Service Trainee to join the team in Nisku, AB. You will support installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of ESP systems at wellsites, while working with field specialists, clients, and rig crews to ensure safe, efficient service delivery.

The role emphasizes safety, continuous learning, and hands-on development of artificial lift expertise in a dynamic field setting.

Qualifications

College diploma or associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Technology.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a rotational schedule and outdoors in varying conditions.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Execute installation, start-up, and basic troubleshooting of ESP systems.
Follow SOPs, checklists, and safety protocols to ensure quality service.
Monitor ESP system performance and report issues or deviations.
Collaborate with field teams, clients, and rig crews for smooth operations.
Support implementation of new field processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify and escalate risks to ensure safe operations.
Complete accurate field documentation and service reports.
Participate in knowledge sharing to improve performance and safety.
