Lifting Solutions in Canada seeks a seasoned Mechanical or Petroleum Engineer/Technologist to design, optimize and support artificial lift systems. You will work across Engineering, CAS, Client Solutions and Regional Operations to deliver tailored solutions and hands-on client interaction.

The role emphasizes product development involvement, field trials, training and data-driven optimization, with opportunities to contribute across multiple product lines and regional bases.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience with Rod lift applications.
• Experience with system design, products and applications for artificial lift.
• Familiarity with field operations and servicing in oilfield systems.

The Opportunity:

Experienced in artificial lift system and associated applications in terms of system design, system components/products, application, operation, and troubleshooting of LS products and services. Works cross-functionally inside the Commercial & Application Support (CAS) Team along with Engineering, Client Solutions and Regional Operations to ensure a focused “Solutions Provider” approach. Encompasses activities starting with involvement in product design, review and support of internal client solutions, application support and direct client interaction as required by the organization.

Responsibilities:

In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision and values, you will be responsible to:

• Continually assesses industry and client trends from an application and production standpoint including competitive solutions and products to help define, refine, and implement system solutions that deliver unique value based on client needs.
• Identifies and details application, product and/or service problems and improvement opportunities.
• Works collaboratively with other system/application specialists to share knowledge and learnings and ensure the best system is being selected to meet client needs.
• Application and product subject matter expert to support screening and evaluation of new product development opportunities.
• Participates in the design, understanding, development and testing of Lifting Solutions product lines including where appropriate as a project team member.
• Helps prepare technical information and conducts technical training for Lifting Solutions personnel as well as direct with clients as required.
• Coordinate and review field trials of new products related to their system specialization including data collection, initial evaluation, and preparation of case histories.
• Supports the regional client solutions and base operations team in terms of technical sales, business development, and direct client interaction for associated system/application areas.
• Provides technical application support to regional service bases for application reviews, system designs and product selection using internal tools and third party design software.
• Champions the use of and enhancement of the Lifting Solutions Product Tracking System including analysis of product performance data and preparation of summaries and reports for internal and external use.
• Acts as the liaison between engineering, commercial/technical application support, client solutions, and regional operations teams in terms of conveying relevant information on applications and products.
• Coordinates application reviews for product inspections at services bases including final report reviews and escalation as required to full engineering evaluations.

Your Qualifications and Experience:

• Mechanical or Petroleum Technologist or Engineer
• Understanding of all major oilfield artificial lift types and production engineering.
• Educated in the target system and component products as well as associated applications.
• Familiarity with field operations and servicing for the associated system and applications.
• Client-centric orientation and disposition.
• 5-10 years’ experience with Rod lift applications
• Expertise with the common design software for reciprocating rod and progressing cavity pumping applications including ability to use the software to compete system designs, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong data management skills, analytical capabilities and problem solving abilities.
• Intermediate comprehension of product inspection and failure analysis including reporting writing.
• Strong communication skills – oral, written and listening.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft 365 Suite of Software (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
