Job summary

DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee the day-to-day quality of operations, production and its products; through auditing, process checking and documentation.
  • Develop and implement QA/QC policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Manage quality control inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Lead investigations; Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and generate regular reports for senior management.
  • Train and mentor QA/QC staff and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing products as per QA/QC protocols.
PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES
  • Strong knowledge in QMS (Quality Management Systems)
  • Ensure 100% compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure all quality documentations are current.
  • Conduct Internal Audits Monthly.
  • Complete all audits within 30 days of identification.
  • Investigate 100% of non-conformances within 24 hours.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Contribute to cost savings through quality initiatives.
  • Provide monthly quality reports to senior management.
  • Communicate quality issues and resolutions effectively across departments.
KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION
  • Technical training or post-secondary education in Engineering or Quality Management is preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management roles.
  • ISO Auditor certification is considered an asset.
