Your role within the team

  • Manage the design and delivery of key projects, collaborating closely with clients, staff, and Practice Leads.
  • Ensure high-quality design standards and technical excellence throughout project delivery.
  • Oversee project teams, providing mentorship and professional development support to junior staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive studio environment to drive innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the advancement of our practice and help shape the impact of our work across institutional sectors.

The ideal candidate
  • 10-15 years of experience in architecture, with institutional projects such as healthcare, transportation, or industrial.
  • Master’s degree in architecture from a recognized Canadian institution. Registered, licensed Architect in Canada
  • Experience in overseeing daily studio operations and coordinating office functions such as project finance and invoicing, marketing, communications, and studio events.
  • Leadership experience in conflict resolution, mentoring, managing, and inspiring teams of architects and designers while fostering a positive studio culture.
  • Proven client-facing skills to manage relationships, set expectations, and guide project lifecycles with a proactive, adaptable, and “can-do” attitude.
  • Deep understanding of jurisdiction having authority approval processes, compliance requirements, codes, and regulations.
  • Passion for design, detail orientation, and commitment to continual improvement and advanced proficiency with architectural design software tools.
  • Strong understanding of Construction Administration and quality assurance processes for architectural deliverables.
  • Strong organizational ability for managing resources, schedules, and project coordination including workload balancing and team allocation.
