Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare architectural and engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches, design concepts, and project specifications.
  • Operate computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software and related drafting equipment to prepare detailed technical drawings and construction documents.
  • Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, permit drawings, and construction documents for commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential projects.
  • Revise and update drawings to incorporate design changes, client requirements, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with designers, architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and technical records throughout all stages of the design process.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, quality standards, and compliance with applicable building codes, municipal regulations, and project requirements.

JOB TITLE: Architectural Draftsperson

LOCATION: Unit 2, 2260, Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON, L5N 6M6 (1 Vacancy)

JOB TYPE: Regular

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible

SALARY: $37.00 per hour

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 hours/Week

WORK SETTING: Office & On-site

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and prepare architectural and engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches, design concepts, and project specifications.
