About Us

The Ontario Cannabis Store provides safe, responsible access to recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We operate the sole legal online store for recreational cannabis in Ontario and are the provincial wholesaler of cannabis for private retail stores.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Architect to join our IT Enterprise Architecture team. This role supports individual project solutioning and collaborates closely with business analysts to understand detailed project requirements.

The Architect contributes to architecture planning, documentation, and the development of OCS’s technology solutions across multiple channels including, but not limited to, OCS.ca, ERP, the Power Platform (such as Intelligent Order Management and Inventory Visibility), and B2B channels.

About Your Day
  • Analyze business requirements and create solutions to solve business problems
  • Translate business requirements into application and operational designs
  • Assist Business System Analysts with the Functional Design Documentation and Platform Managers with Jira ticket refinement
  • Provide functional solution design in form of a design specification to support business needs
  • Document current and target states
  • Document current and desired business processes to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Develop the architectural blueprint and document the process
  • Present Architecture solutions to ARB panel, IT, and business teams
  • Execute assigned tasks within a structured project environment
  • Implement, configure and develop components of core enterprise applications
  • Conduct preliminary testing and evaluation of a developed solution
  • Analyze proposed changes against the technology ecosystem to assess feasibility and understand the effect on the solution, data collection and interfaces
  • Partner with the appropriate business units to identify business process efficiencies
  • Provide support to the business during hyper‑care period after a project go‑live
  • Provide support in resolving production issues in enterprise applications
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) across OCS’ systems and integrations
  • Assist in the establishment and implementation of an architecture and standards methodology.
About You
  • Experience as Principal Software developer or Solution Architect in enterprise environments.
  • 2‑3 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
  • 2‑3 years of experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) integrations (Dual Write, APIs)
  • 2‑3 years of experience with ERP modules: Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Order Management (IOM) and integration patterns.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, integration designs, and governance.
  • Familiarity with Azure services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Data Factory).
  • Experience with ecommerce and B2B integrations is an asset.
  • Exposure to WMS integrations is preferred.
  • Microsoft certifications (Power Platform, Azure) is preferred.
  • Technical architecture design experience is an asset.

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $100,000-$118,000. This is a pay grade 7 role, with a salary range of $ 82,623.96 - $123,507.59. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
