Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions represents an architecture and design firm in Edmonton, Alberta seeking an aspiring Architect to join a collaborative team. You will work with senior architects to develop schematic and concept designs and prepare technical drawings and construction documents.

You will use Revit and other software, participate in design discussions, present concepts, and help coordinate with project teams.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Canadian university or has 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong portfolio with interest in modern, sustainable design.
• Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Capable of working through all project phases.
• Excellent team player and collaborative mindset.
• Desire to grow and advance in architecture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Architects to develop schematic and concept designs.
• Plan work with technologists, architects and designers; develop solutions to design/detail problems.
• Prepare technical drawings and construction documents.
• Create presentations and present design concepts and drawings.
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with the Project Team.
• Participate in team meetings to resolve issues and coordinate with disciplines.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Architecture FirmThis reputable and recognized Architecture and Design firm in Edmonton is looking to add a talented and aspiring Architect to their dynamic team. This firm have a broad portfolio of work and are committed to design excellent and outstanding service delivery.

THE ROLE

• Collaborate with Senior Architects to develop schematic and concept designs
• Work collaboratively with technologist, architects and designers in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
• Complete technical drawings and construction documents
• Prepares presentations and presents design conceptu s and drawings.
• Maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team
• Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues.
• Communicates in a clear, concise, and professional manner at all times, both verbally and in writing
• You will be working with Revit and a range of other software platforms, all time being a part of a collaborative team and working productively with other staff members to achieve project objectives. You will have strong design skills and creative ideas to come up with unique solutions for projects
• Preference will be given to individuals with some post grad experience

What You Need To Succeed

• To be successful in this role, you will be Graduated from a University within Canada or have at least 5 years of experience in the industry. Be eligible to become registered with the AAA in time if not already.
• A strong portfolio of work with an interest in modern, sustainable design solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines is also essential.
• Capable to work through all project phases
• Excellent team player, enjoys collaborating and being committed to project work
• Enjoy working collaboratively and wish to develop your career
